Breakdown

Remember what happened in Lord of the Flies when the kids are left isolated and alone without supervision? A breakdown of civilization and morality that results in the running down of one of their own until he is killed.

Looks like the kids are alone in Iraq this time. And their torturing a lot of people to coerce them into answering questions in a language most of them don't speak. And some of them are even threatening their own with retaliation if the truth gets out.

I'm not bad mouthing the troops. I know someone over there. I just don't want to see our troops and my country portrayed in this light because I happen to care about what's right and how the rest of the world should hold us in their regard.

And I think that the problem here is not only is this an unjust war, but our people are not receiving the leadership and support they deserve from our armed forces and our government. If we are going to go to war with another country and way of life, let's do it right and not leave our countrymen out there to take the heat when everything starts to go south.
